About

You prep, you prep, you prep. And on the day that you film, you let all of that go. I try to achieve emptiness as much as possible - the Zen thing - to let the deal come out of that nothing.

- Jeff Bridges

Born and raised in a musically inclined family, Ace carries a huge fascination and love for music and the emotion it carries. After picking up the guitar and starting a band at a young age, new musical horizons opened up, that led to the discovery and study of classical and flamenco music, and later film music. Simultaneously experimenting with computer production and sound design was a big step forward, and crafting music for films became the natural way to go.

After attending and graduating the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston with a writing and composition scholarship, Ace moved to Los Angeles, where he interned at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions studio. He has since worked alongside Hollywood composer virtuosos such as Penka Kouneva, Bear McCreary and Lorne Balfe. In addition to that he's composed the music for several feature films, most notably the rock documentary The Lost Weekend: A Love Story, documenting John Lennon and May Pang's relationship during the Beatle's "lost weekend", which premiered in Tribeca Film Festival in 2022, and the Bulgarian feature film Yellow Oleander by Bulgarian director Lachezar Avramov, for which he was awarded the Best Composer for a Dramatic Feature Film award at the 2023 Guild of Bulgarian Filmmakers awards.
